Jimmie Hawkins

Jimmie grew up in San Antonio and is a proud graduate of O.W. Holmes High School. He earned an athletic scholarship to Texas A&M University and played on the 1985 Southwest Conference Championship team who became the 1986 Cotton Bowl. He then signed a free agent contract with the New England Patriots. Jimmie entered the Air Force in 1992 after receiving his commission through the AFROTC program at the University of Texas at San Antonio. After 22 years of faithful service in the Space and Missile career field, Jimmie retired from the Air Force in August 2014.
Jimmie is married to Yvonne, also a Holmes High School graduate, and they have three children: Jamal, Jalen and Lauryn.
In addition to his role as one of the Elders at Rockhills, Jimmie is part of the setup crew transforming Huebner Elementary into a place of worship. Jimmie enjoys spending time with his family, participating in sports, and sharing life with the members of the Rockhills community.
