Rockhills Christmas Collective // Tammy Rajabi
Two of my most special Christmas decorations are handmade by people who are now gone.
As a child my brother and I always helped my mom decorate our tree and we would take turns picking an ornament to put on the tree. The ones I always chose first were the ornaments that were handmade by my paternal great-grandmother. Each year i now put the very delicate ornaments on a wooden tree made for me by my maternal grandfather. These items make me stop to remember where I come from and my earthly heritage, which is quite complicated and messy.
Christmas is the perfect time to slow down and set our hearts on how God had given a solution to this world's complex messiness and remind us that this is not our home or where we should store up our treasures.
The place where your treasure is, is the place you will most want to be, and end up being. Matthew 6:21 MSG
